My office represents purchasers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate in Connecticut.
Services typically include: conducting closings, guiding clients through real estate transactions, due diligence, ancillary financing, preparing closing documentation and settlement statements, negotiating title insurance and ensuring clear title. This office will also assist clients in 1031 exchanges.
Leasing
Are you renting space to a tenant? What happens if that relationship goes awry? Do you have a lease agreement in place to protect your interests? What if your tenant does not pay rent for several months? Are you aware that an oral lease limits your right to recovering unpaid rent in that circumstance?
Frequently, landlords ignore the benefits of having a lease in place because of outrageous legal fees. My office is here to reach that market with affordable services.
My office also represent commercial tenants in their leasing activities, including new leases, amendments, terminations, assignments, SNDAs, and estoppels negotiation. Do not get bullied by big landlords trying to muscle you into an unconscionable agreement.
